    From the Principal:

Yesterday afternoon, our classrooms were filled with parents, grandparents, and caregivers listening to excited children share and showcase their learning this year.  There were many smiles and excited faces, which were lovely to see. Our Learning Expo provides parents with an insight into how far their child has come, and allows children to share how proud they are of the work they do at school.  We believe it is of great value, and the work and time teachers and students put into such a showcase is valued by the adults who attend.

On Friday, our students' Mid-Year Reports are published on Compass.  Please feel free to make a Parent Teacher booking through Compass with your child’s teacher next week to discuss your child’s progress, particularly if you did not make it to the Learning Expo.

    Warm regards,

    Mary Bennett

    Important Dates Term 2:

    2025 Sacramental Candidates:

2025 Meander Valley Catholic Parish Sacramental Candidates have started preparing to receive the Sacrament of Penance and will be welcomed at the Vigil Mass at the Holy Redeemer on Saturday, June 28, at 5 p.m.

Mass will be followed by supper in the school hall. Please bring a plate of sandwiches or a sweet to share. All are welcome!

Grade 5/6 Pottery Adventure at Deloraine Creative Arts Studio:

Last week, Mrs. Badcock's Grade 5/6 class took an exciting trip to the Deloraine Creative Arts Studio to participate in a hands-on pottery class. The goal? To create their very own mugs!

In preparation for the visit, students put together mood boards at school, which helped spark ideas and inspiration for their unique designs. Their creativity really came to life once they started shaping the clay.

The feedback? Overwhelmingly positive! Every student agreed that they had never had so much fun working on an art project—and they’re all eager to go back for another session. How great is that?

    New Local Business:

    Hot Lunches:

If you are planning on providing your children with hot lunches, please pop them in a thermos to bring to school. There are safety issues with heating lunches, and teachers really don't have the time to cater for the increasing number of requests to prepare hot lunches and snacks. Thanks for your cooperation.
